    Not many economic data and events scheduled for today, but some with high volatility risks associated.

    Data and events so far:

    • Australia: Building permits down 1.2 percent in June, down 25.6 percent from a year ago.
       
    • Japan: Bank of Japan (BoJ) kept the policy rate unchanged at today’s meeting. The press conference is scheduled at 6:00 GMT.

    Upcoming:

    • France: Q2 GDP report will be released at 5:30 GMT.
       
    • Germany: GFK consumer confidence report will be released at 6:00 GMT. HICP inflation report will be released at 12:00 GMT.
       
    • France: Consumer spending and budget report to be released at 6:45 GMT.
       
    • Switzerland: Sentiment report will be released at 9:00 GMT.
       
    • United States: Personal income and spending report will be released at 12:30 GMT, followed by S&P/Case-Shiller home price report at 13:00 GMT, and consumer confidence report at 14:00 GMT, along with pending home sales report.
       
    • United Kingdom: BRC shop price report to be released at 23:00 GMT, along with GFK consumer confidence report.
       
    • Auction: Italy will auction 10-year bond today.
