EUR German PPI (M/M)
The Producer Price Index released by the Statistisches Bundesamt Deutschland is an index that measures the change in prices received by domestic producers of commodities in all stages of processing (crude materials, intermediate materials, and finished goods). This price index is calculated on the basis of a statistical methodology that has been harmonised across all EU member states. HICP is a measure of prices used by Governing Council of EU to define and assess price stability in the euro area as a whole in quantitative terms. Changes in German Producer Prices are an indicator of commodity inflation. German PPI excludes volatile items, such as energy components and seasonal food, in order to provide a more accurate picture of price developments.
